Gurvinder Bhatia talks about the high quality of Portuguese wine and why he thinks its going to be the next big thing in the industry.
Gurvinder Bhatia is the wine editor for Quench Magazine, wine columnist for the Edmonton Journal and Global TV Edmonton, an international wine judge and the Director of Wine, Business Development & Education for the UnWined wine boutiques in Edmonton. Recently, has joined the Jury of the Wines of Portugal Challenge 2016. In his Global TV segment talks about high quality of Portuguese wines and why he felt in love.
The renowned wine critic says that in terms of variety Portugal is not far behind Italy. Portugal has more than 250 indigenous grape varieties that grow in a lot of diverse wine regions with different soil conditions and micro climates. Gurvinder Bhatia says “It’s so interesting to me because every time I go to Portugal I’m so impressed with the quality that exists there”. He’s no doubt that Portuguese wines are going to be the next big thing in the industry.
